The Anza Borrego is my first taste ever of real desert (as close as I've come anyway).
I find it a little intoxicating, or maybe it was the heat. These desert areas are
beautiful and deceptively lush. At the end of this fairly simple hike lies an oasis
complete with Palm trees, right out of an old Abbott and Costello movie. Yeah I hate those
movies references too, but that's who we are......anyway
